The Tift County High School Performing Arts Center (PAC) is located just a few steps from the warm-up room (TCHS Chorus Room) and set/prop storage room (TCHS Band Room). The stage is an ample 50’ x 70’ with a 36’ x 48’ performance area. There is plenty of space for bands, sets, and changing areas in the wings and behind the back riser. We have a digital sound board and two-tiered speaker array. Lighting is the traditional ETC halogen lighting instruments powered by ETC Sensor 3 dimmer racks.
All homerooms, the solo competition space, the cafeteria, the stage, and audience seating are accessible under one roof. Even though the weather here in March is usually very comfortable, should we experience inclement weather during the competition, there will be no need to be outside for any portion of the day.
The auditorium holds 785 spectators between the main floor and a beautiful balcony, with the ability to set out standing room only seats of 60 more. There are no “bad seats”. While 785 seats may not be as plentiful as some other competitions, our competition format is designed so there should be ample seating throughout the day as our multiple awards ceremonies will eliminate the usual mad rush to the auditorium just prior to “Finals."
