COMPETITION DIVISIONS
MIDDLE SCHOOL DIVISION – Open to all Middle School / Junior High School Choirs of any gender or size. Middle School Division awards will include 1st – 5th Place, Best Vocals, Choreography, Solo, and Overall Effect / Show Design. Choirs will have 25 minute time slots.
FESTIVAL DIVISION – Open to High School choirs of any gender or size. Festival Division choirs will compete for festival ratings only. Each choir will be allotted 20 minutes setup/performance time followed by a 10-minute on-stage clinic with one of our judges. Trophies will also be awarded for Best Festival Class Choreography, Vocals, Solo, and other awards TBA.
UNISEX DIVISION – Open to all High School single gender choirs. Single gender choirs may choose to compete in this division or the Championship Division (See below). Single gender choirs competing in the Unisex Division will be awarded 1st -5th Place overall, Best Vocals, Choreography, Solo, and Overall Effect / Show Design. 25 minute time slots.
SMALL MIXED DIVISION – Open to all Mixed Gender High School choirs with 32 or fewer performers on stage. Small Division choirs may choose to compete in this division or the Championship Division (See below). Small Division choirs competing in the Small Mixed Division will be awarded 1st -5th Place overall, Best Vocals, Choreography, Solo, and Overall Effect / Show Design.
CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION – Open to all High School Choirs of any gender makeup or size. Choirs competing in Championship Division will compete to be named Grand Champion of the Peach State Show Choir Invitational. Championship Division Trophies will be awarded for Grand champion – 4th Runner Up, Best Vocals, Choreography, Solo, and Overall Effect / Show Design. Basically the Championship Division will be similar to “Finals” in the traditional “Prelims / Finals” format. Choirs competing in the Championship Division will be given an extended 30-minutes to set
up, perform, and strike.
THE JUDGES
Our judges will be nationally recognized show choir directors, choreographers, and clinicians. Festival Division will be scored Superior, Excellent, Good, and Fair. Middle School, Unisex, Small Group, and Championship Divisions will be scored numerically in the traditional manner.
